MS is going away

Hi,

I have been in the PAML forum before. I have had 2 mc's. The first was really early (the day after BFP on a preg test) and the second was a missed mc that happened at 10 weeks, although the baby died at 7 weeks. Then I had another BFP, joined the PAML forum, and gave birth to lovely, healthy DS on new year's day. He is great and I count myself really lucky to have him in our lives.

So now I'm back here because I am pgt again. This time I am 7 weeks and my major concern is that MS is going away, just like it did in preg no.2. As early as 4 weeks, I was actually sick, and then felt sick every day until last week, and now I feel less and less nauseas as time goes by. I am sure that this can't be a good sign. It is really hard because nobody knows I am pgt, except DH, and I can't stop thinking about it. It is quite helpful just to type this out and tell someone.

Has anybody else had MS that goes away during a healthy pregnancy?

HI hun, firstly sorry for all og your losses. Yet congratulations on your New Year bubba.
I have had ms go away during a healthy pgcy, but unfortunateyl have had it go away before m/cing too. Can ytou go and get a referral for an u/s? I think it would give you the answer you need, even a reassurance all is ok with your little one. Also get some BT's done to monitor your hcg levels so you have an idea what going on there too. I really think that it will help your sanity too, with the u/s.

Morning sickness can come and go, are you able to get an appointment with your Ob/doctor? I know it's still early but they can probably do an ultrasound and let you know what is going on, or even just get your HCG levels tested, if you aren't already getting them done.

I know that's probably not much help...I hope everything is ok and you have a sticky bubba :hug:

Canary :hug: My MS was totally different in both my pgs that ended with a bub in my arms. With DD1 I was horrendously sick and it never let up, with DD2 it was totally different - it was very on and off and nowhere near as horrendous - I actually had some days where I felt quite normal. Of course this worried the cr@p out of me - I had very little MS in my pg that miscarried.

I just want to reassure you that what you feel could be quite normal. All pregnancies are different (trite I know :rolleyes:) and it is more than possible that your bub is OK. If you can I'd go and have a scan if you are 7 weeks, at least then you can have some assurance that bub is OK.

As already said, every pregnancy is different. I had horrible M/S in my first pregnancy from about 4 weeks up until about 13-14 weeks. I had none in my pregnancy that ended in M/C, and with this pregnancy 9i'm only 4 weeks) I have had low grade nausea since 7DPO.

Hopefully your M/S is going away early because you are lucky. I would definitely go see your DR and request blood work or an ultrasound to give you some peace of mind.

Short answer yes, I had MS that went away from 6ish weeks (then came back again a few weeks later) and I had a healthy pregnancy. I've also heard of people who have had MS that has stopped a bit earlier than expected - 7-8 weeks instead of 12-14 weeks - and had healthy pregnancies. Good luck...x

Sorry for your losses Canary. Try not to worry about the dissapearance of morning sickness. As hard as it is not to worry, it really can be normal and it can go on to be a healthy pregnancy.
With my first pregnancy, I had one day of morning sickness, and was thinking myself extremely lucky, until it ended in mc.
So this time round I was paranoid that it had been 6 weeks and I hadn't been sick at all and thought that the same fate awaited us. But at 6 weeks it started and I was really sick for 3 weeks, then one day it stopped. I was sure it was just a matter of time before we lost this little one aswell, but a few days doen the track, I was sick again., and then that was it for me for morning sickness, and we now have only 4 and a half weeks til we meet this little one.
Everyone one is different and every pregnancy is different, so don't worry too much about not being sick, and think positive thoughts for your little one.

Thank you all for your reasuring replies and sticky vibes. I am pleased to say that I was actually sick this morning!! I could not believe that MS could go away, actually dissappear completely, and then come back again. I have actually got a bit of a cold at the moment, so that may be making me more likely to throw up.

I also have an appointment with the doctor next week, when hopefully my cold will have cleared up, so I hope that they might be able to hear the heartbeat (I will be 9 weeks, can't remember when the earliest time is that it can be heard.)

When you see your Dr hun ask if you can have an u/s as you have been concerned. It will help ease your mind. Yay for the ms returning, the flu is also a common pgcy symptom. They may not be able to hear your bubs HB until almost 14wks, also depends on the DR trying. Which is a reason for getting you to ask for an early u/s. Lots of sticky vibes coming your way. hugs

I have had 4 miscarriages, one live birth and, well, you can see the ticker...

With my 1st pregnancy i was never sick, and had no idea i was pregnant until i miscarried at about 9 weeks.

With my 2nd pregnancy i was mildly nauseous from week5 for about 3 days, then at 6 weeks i began to bleed and miscarried.

With my 3rd pregnancy i was mildly nauseous from 6+4, though never sick. I woke up on the morning i was 8 weeks and felt....nothing. I was fine. All my energy came back, i wasn't nauseous at all, i even LOST 2kg without trying those next few weeks. I went on to have my bonny and bright DD at 41+4. :)

With my 4th pregnancy i lost it the day after getting a +ve test, 3 days after my period was due. I never felt sick.

With my 5th pregnancy i felt mildly sick from about 5.5weeks, but only became gaggy the following week. I began to bleed at 6+4 and completed the miscarriage at 7 weeks.

With my 6th pregnancy (geez-o-man, SIX!) i began to feel terribly nauseous at 5+2 and i have felt awful and vomited more or less ever since. Finally since about 10weeks it's begun to subside, but i still feel horrible if i eat a big meal and gag all the time at dumb things. Maybe this one is a boy...?

I have everything crossed for you, your symptoms coming and going certainly doesn't sound too worrying to me. Hang on!

Paradise Lost, so sorry to hear of your many losses, but congrats on preg No. 6! I didn't have much in the way of MS with DS, but over the last few days have been doing exactly what you said: gagging all the time at dumb things (like the thought of the stinky musty smell in my office at work!!). GL with the rest of your pg - maybe this one is a boy for you and a girl for me?? Here are some sticky vibes for you:

I'm a little relieved to hear that other people are experiencing what I am going through right now! I've been suffering in silence on my own here!! My partner is busy with work and training for a competition in his MMA this weekend, so he's not even staying with me for a few weeks! In the meantime, I am going yes i'm pregnant, no i'm not.. yes i am, no im not.. because my symptoms seem to come and go!!

I always get ms from the day following BD. Don't know why i'm so sensitive, but it just happens like that for me.

My first loss i was sick everyday and even woke up every night, each hour - on the hour to vomit! I didn't m/c normally, it was due to a major car accident where another driver ran a red light and struck my car, crushing the car with me inside. so MS was pretty consistant.
2nd pregnancy I had MS from date of conception right through until a few weeks AFTER she was born!
I 3rd (twins) I knew something wasn't right because MS came and went so much. One day I'd feel pregnant, the next i wouldn't. MC'd one twin and MS stopped but other symptoms remained until the other (ectopic) was discovered.

So long story short, I got my very faint BFP a few days ago, had terrible MS along with EVERY other pg symptom you could imagine... and should be around the 4 week mark. Too early to have scans etc. And suddenly the pg feeling disappears along with ms.

Like you have all said, each pregnancy is different. Perhaps this one is going to be less MS than the others?? gosh i wouldn't say no to that!

Congratulations on your BFP!! Sorry to hear of your losses, hun, I hope that this little one is good and sticky. It must be really tough with DP away. I hope that you have lots of chances to chat on the phone and tell him how you are feeling. It is always hard when no one else knows you are pregnant.:hug:

I am feeling good and sick today, which is great!!! Saw midwife yesterday and have a scan booked, but it's not for ages. I am feeling more reassured now that MS is back and I'm really looking forward to telling everyone once we have had the scan.
