Dog Jumping fences!! Anyone used invisible fence?

We have a female bullmastiff x rotty who is about 3 years old. We live in an estate which is a rural setting so we have rural fencing separating our properties.
Our problem is that our dog has been jumping the fences and sitting out in the front yard or wandering around the corner to our inlaws house to play with their dog. A neighbours dog got into our yard and the dogs had a fight which resulted in the neighbours dog having to be put down. We fear if our dog keeps getting out she might harm another animal or a person. She is a loving friendly dog but we cannot take this risk.
We have put an electric fence around our boundary which worked for a while but now she jumps between the pulses and still gets out. Even more so if we have a thunderstorm as she is scared of the thunder.
We have been looking into the invisible dog fences which use static shock to train the dog to stay away from the fence. Has anyone used this system??
Any help would be appreciated. I fear if we cannot stop her jumping we will need to rehome her as I refuse to keep her tied up all day.

I don't know if this will help or is appropriate for you but the ONLY thing that stopped my two dogs after 3 years of fence breaking (and the constant raising of fence heights) was putting in a doggy door so they had access to the house while I was gone.

Thanks Sammy, the problem is she is doing it even when we are home, I know she is lonely but it is difficult with a little one and with this ridiculous weather to get outside with her.

Clever dog!

We have used invisible fence, but our clever dog also worked out how to beat it. The collar has a safety mechanism where if it is putting out shocks for 30 seconds, and it thinks the dog is still in the zone (or there is a malfunction), the collar stops putting out shocks.

So, my dog worked out if she sat in the zone, and held her head a special way, she wouldn't get the full shock and could wait out the 30 seconds. The collar then turned off, and she would jump the fence without restriction.

We have had some sucess with the collar, but if the dogs desire is great enough they just find a way to get over the fence anyway.

How high are the fences the dog jumps? Can you put in a dog run with higher fences?

We now leave our two dogs in the laundry when we are out, just because we are still waiting to get higher (hopefully dog proof) fences on all sides. They are ok when we are home and will hang around, but not when we are out.
