Aircon when he has a cold?

Our Monster started getting his first cold last night and I am wondering what to do re using the aircon. Brissy is so hot, humid and revolting at the moment that we have to pop the aircon on by about 8am and then switch it off late in the evenings. I don't know if this has caused our Monster's snotty nose and/or if it could make it worse (given that A/C dries the air out so much). I have it set on 24 degrees, so it isn't really cold or anything. I figure either the aircon is on or he has to be uncomfortable and sweaty in the heat :( Any suggestions? Thanks a lot. x

bowls of water around the house to stop him drying out? Have the filters been cleaned recently?

I am using a vaporiser but will try adding some bowls of water. Our filters were cleaned 8 months ago and we are having all of the units cleaned and serviced on Thursday. Thanks for the suggestions :)
