what does pre labour feel like?

hey ladies, i have an appointment with ob today but love getting all of your opinions :) for the last 3 or so days i have felt strange. By this i mean i have been having bad poo (sorry tmi) pains in my tummy and nearly floor me that last around 30 seconds then go. They are just random though. I also just want to sleep. Soooo tired. Which is not like me au all. I am also very anxious like i have something to do but dont know what. Its doing my head in :lol: bubs is being strange too keeps doing funny things really low down. Not sure what he is doing i just know he hasnt done it before. I am wondering if this is pre labour? I have heard it can last for weeks. Any thought appreciated xx B

Pre-labour for me felt like period cramps. I also had my show as part of my labour. As my labour progressed from pre-labour to labour the period cramps got worse and closer together.
It can be different for everyone.

Could be prelabour... and yes, it can last for weeks :hug:
Course when you get to the business end of pg like you are, its to be expected that you get a bit uncomfortable anyway. Weird stuff happens to your body, LOL! The pains may be intense BH, prelabour contrax, or you may even have a tummy bug... there are some going around.
I wouldn't anticipate too much, just make sure your bags are packed and roll with the punches. If this discomfort does last until 40 weeks and beyond, you'll find various tools that may help like heat packs, tummy massages, baths (not too hot) etc, but I think its realistic to expect you're going to be pretty uncomfy from here on in.
Its worth it, though ;)

I was just about to post to say it could be your bub engaging, then I read your last post LOL!

When my bubs engaged, I felt really weird too. It did something to my hormones and by #3 I knew what it meant!

How awesome that your bub is engaged, it sounds like all is going really well :D

My pre-labours did last weeks.. Evil stuff.. Just thought I might throw in that they can get extremely painful, there are outside cues that will let you know when you are in actual labour and I have found they are easier to explain than what actual labour feels like.

You are clawing at furniture to grip.
Biting down hard with your teeth.
Being spoken to in the middle of one infuriates you.
Can't decide whether to cry or scream.
You are too scared to move because you know it will bring on another contraction.

All the prep in the world will not prevent the hard hitting reality of how painful it actually is. If you can tick any one on that list, then chances are you are on the last step of your pregnancy journey. And if you are like most of the rest of us, you wont regret going through it once its over!
