jack was about 28mths so yep unfortunatly
I think it's a bit early. In my experience, most kids will have a nap until they are around 3ish.
My DS1 is 2 and recently went through a rough patch with his day naps. He'd lay in bed for 2 hours but not sleep. I was worried he was dropping his nap but I just put him to bed every day and he went back to sleeping for 2-3 hours a day.
I'd stick with it for now, I think a few days of not napping is pretty normal at this age and doesn't mean they don't still need it.
Thanks for the advice, I will play it by ear and not stop offering a nap just yet then. They tend to sleep 6.30pm - 7.30am though so maybe they are getting all they need with that. I hope not though as when they stop napping I will struggle to find time to fold the laundry:lol:
DD#1 dropped her day sleep at around 2, but then started going to bed by 6:30pm and would sleep for around 12 hrs. I found that if she did have a sleep then going to bed at night would be a nightmare - so dropping the sleep worked for us.
Although there were times when she would still need one (sick, travelling etc) so I would just play it by ear. I know its nicer when you get some time to yourself in the day!
DS does 12-13 hrs a night and still sleeps for 2, sometimes 3 hours during the day.:

It's cliche but they are all different, I'm sure you'll work out what's best. Good luck!
My DS has been hit and miss with his day sleeps since about 28 months. Some days he has one, some he doesn't. But I still offer one! I was not at all ready for it, I thought he would sleep every day until he was at least 3. But I can see that some days he truly doesn't need it, and he actually copes pretty well without, so he mostly knows what he's doing . The other days he may have a usual sleep of 1.5-2 hours, or sometimes will have a catch up one of about 3 hours! I'm now quite prepared for this go on for some time (I hope it does!), and I guess he will just gradually have fewer and fewer day sleeps until he is having none.
