Hi all,
Thought i'd have a go with some false eyelashes as i've never tried them ;)
... Can anyone recommend what to get & any tips in applying them would be helpful :think:
Also are the ** separate false lashes ** much harder or more time consuming to apply (do they look more effective or natural) ??

I got the DIY version and couldn't get them right....
Money and time is best invested going to a salon and getting them done... they are semi-perm. They are a bit pricey.... but oh so worth it :)
Are you getting them for a special occassion?
CBG ... yeh, was just thinking when i have a special night out or event would love to try a different look with eyelashes ;)
... so if, you get 'em done professionally do they ' truly ' stay on all night ??
Do you have a rough guess as to how much$ ??

It's amazing what they can do to your overall look.
I've had massive back pain for the past two weeks and after my massage today I just had to get my eyebrows waxed - makes me feel instantly better.
Smiles- the best false eyelashes are the individual ones- either from Napoleon or Ardell. They are easy to appy yourself, just don't overdo how many you put on each eye. I recommend putting 3-4 individuals on each eye, starting from the outside in. Put them on before your mascara and then apply mascara over the top to ensure they look natural.
Smiles, i got the individual ones professionally done for my wedding and they lasted 6 weeks!(this included swimming etc on our honeymoon) - I *think* from memory (it was nearly 3 years ago!) that i it cost me about $65-70 but i think thats cause i was silly enough to mention the word "wedding" ...:rofl::
if youre looking for some really 'wild' ones e.g. with feathers as lashes, diamantes etc, there is a brand called Lash Me, you can get it at price attack nd some chemists, they use them for stage shows and modelling shoots etc. they are gorgeous and can be reused. we used them to do glam makeup at beauty school and were told by the teachers that they are the best 'stick on' ones IYKWIM
Ginger is right. The best brands are Ardell Duralash and Napoleon. And wherever you buy these you should be able to get the glue too. Don't use the glue in the packs either - there is a tube of the stuff called LashGrip.
Individuals look much more natural - but stick to 3 on the outside of your lashes - for some reason the human eye appreciates looking at things in thirds which is why you should never line your eyes to the half way mark.
Put a dob of the glue on the back of your hand and dip the lash in and wait until it goes tacky and then try to position it in between your natural lashes. It can be tricky, but with a little practice they look fab!!
Another option you can try is get some full lashes and trim off a few lashes from the ends and use these on the outer corner of your eyes. It looks a bit more dramatic than the individual, but not quite as dramatic as the full lashes. (Actually if you get the full lashes you need to trim them for the length of your eyes anyway, so you can use the trimmings for this look.) If you get full lashes measure them for your eyes from the middle and trim from both ends. If you keep them too long they won't sit right and will stab you in the eyes!!
With all of them try to get the lashes as close to your natural lash bed as possible.
If you want my advice do not use false eyelashes as they will remove the remaining of your natural eyelash so i recommend you to use organic eyelashes which are amazing and give natural thick look of your eyelashes.
