Is playing alone okay?
When Palmer is in her playpen she seems totally happy playing by herself with her toys...making noise, trying to crawl, messing around with her toys, rolling about etc.
She seems happy playing by herself. When I do pick her up and spend time with her during the day, she doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to me, she just wants to explore everything around her and touch all the textures, pick things up etc. She's not really into the TV even...just seems happy in her own little world. I am always in the same room as her, but she seems happy playing by herself
Am I depriving her, or is playing alone okay?

thank your lucky stars!!!!!
i think thats a great skill to have, to be able to entertain yourself - it may not last forever so enjoy it now!

I think that is quite normal
DD loves to play alone sometimes and when i go disturb her "on purpose" she gets annoyed!!!
However, the times i wish she'd play alone so i can do some house work, she doesn't!

Playing alone is fine. :)
Even my kids like to play on their own, It wasn't until they got a bit older they would play together.

My ds sounds the same- just happy with his own company. I think it's a great thing- and I like to tell myself it's a sign of what a secure, happy, independant little man he is ;)

I wish I had of left DS to play alone more often, but I was always around thinking I was doing something wrong if I wasn't entertaining him.
I think it's great, and if she's happy, then you enjoy it too :)
