Help! Night nappies causing sores :(
We inherited some old school Tots Bots fitted terry nappies and PUL covers from a friend which we've been using for DD at night since they're SUPER absorbant (tho but ugly!). So absorbant that since DD has been sleeping well from about 8pm to 6am (with feed breaks but we practically do those in our sleep so they don't count) we haven't bothered getting up to change her til morning as once she's up she's wide awake and a really crap napper during the day.
But recently DD got a sore spot where the nappy and cover meet at the back of her leg and it only seems to be getting worse despite regular nappy balm and organic/natural healing creams. A couple of nights in sposies and it heals but I don't want to use them at night (don't last the distance and we end up waking her up by changing her anyway).
I'm considering changing her at her 5am feed and risking her being bright eyed and bushy tailed - meaning a tired mummy and cranky baby in the arvo but avoiding a nasty rash :(
What would you do? Any other suggestions?????
