I got some money at this time a couple of years ago. It was something to do with an FTA or FTB top-up payment. Last year we didn't get it, as I underestimated our income, so they took what I owed out of this top-up payment. So if you oversestimated your income, you could be getting a refund. I haven't received anything this year though...

if it's two payments i'd be pretty confident in betting it is your ftb reco and supplement payments.

you may have done tax back in july, but some records come up with errors in processing, and have to be manually actioned by a specialist team - they work damn hard, but there are only two offices that do the job, and they have about 40 members in total to do it - so they just churn through as many as they can each day. it delays payments going in...
