Hospital introduced bacteria

Hi ladies, has anyone heard of enterococcus? I had a full blood count the day after my transfer and my white blood cells were higher than the parameters. A urine test showed enterococcus. From what I have read online, it can affect the viability/implantation of an embryo. I think it can be part of women's natural flora/fauna but it can also be introduced via the hospital and a catheter. I will be so furious if I have paid close to 7 grand for an infection introduced via the hospital which has killed my embroys. Please help if you know anything at all about this.

wow so sorry to hear this, i have no words to help answer your question. However i have been plagued with recurrent infection and this has only got worse with IVF. my first knoweldge was with my ectopic in 2002 and then discovered i had PID. since then i have been very sensitive with every IVF cycle, even getting a flare up of PID at an EPU, the cycle did not go to TF. i now have antis every cycle and only get a BFP when on them, sadly i have suffered 5 mc and await to see the outcome of this one with a scan in two weeks
