cervix question ?TMI
ok, here is a noob question i really should know, (esp, in my line of work but it is slightly different then)..
when you guys check your cervix, to see if it is hard or sof, do you check at the opening or anywhere you can feel it, because i was checking mine today and it felt hard, but then i felt around a little bit more and found the openening, which was soft.
I've only been checking my own cervix for about a week or so so still getting to 'know' it.
thanks in advance!!!

I think the opening is always slightly softer than the rest, or at least for me it was ;)

holy crap where is the cervix??? okay just kidding....
i didn't know, or i suppose realise, i could check my own.... how far up is it? will i be able to reach it....? holy crap!

yea you can. =)
just another way to learn something about yourself.
Make sure you wash your hands before you do it. and insert a finger inside your vagina.
Its a fair way up, and when its hard it feels like your nose, and soft more like your lips.
check out the my beautiful cervix for a visual on its basic shape etc..
here i am giving advice when i was asking for it =P

I thought it changed shaped at different times through the month! Haven't done the whole charting and checking for quite a long time though :)

i'm too scared to put my finger in, lol..... does that make me a complete spaz or what??? i just hate the sensation, it hurts. oh my god how am i going to get a baby out?? hehe...
so if you can feel your cervix, could you 'stimulate' it in a way to encourage labour? not planning on doing this, just curious.
