Accounting.
Has anyone done accounting off campus or via home studying?
Ive been thinking about doing something in the accounting field for a while (thing for numbers ;) ) and was wondering....out loud maybe.....if I can do it at home due to having own business commitments and a young family
TIA

Hmmm, hope Astrid sees this - she would be great for advice.
Have you ever thought about becoming an integration aide?

I use to work for Westpac and although I got fairly high up I never had anything on paper to prove it. And I thought it might be useful for myself and my business

Hmmm, I wonder if you could so something for small businesses and WAHM's etc. You would have awesome experience to bring to it..and people would trust you cos of that.

Hmmm, I'm sure there must be something about, hope you find it!

I would do a Tafe course first, check out your local one and see if they do off campus. I know my local one does some courses that way. It will give you a taste of the type of study you would be up for. Just check if any of it can be credited towards a degree if you decide to go down that path. These days for bookkeeping I think they like you to have a Cert 3 or 4.
As for being able to do it with your current commitments, well that is up to you, how much you want it and your time management etc.
Tell us how you go with it :D

google OTEN, it is NSW based TAFE but anyone online can do it, if you are intersted in the TAFE option

A friend of ours did a diploma, and has just finished his degree in Commerce, all by correspondence.
I have completed 2 years of a Commerce degree.
Good luck with it Maz :D
