Calm Birth course
I am thinking of doing a Calm Birth course as my acupuncturist recommended it as a technique that has helped a number of her clients.
The course I am looking at is in Newcastle & run by Life Matters.
Has anyone done this course before & can you provide any feedback?
Also, if I do this course would you recommend I do the ante-natal classes at the hospital (I am booked in at Newcastle Private Hospital)?

I think it is a good idea to do classes through the hospital because you can learn about their philosophies/practises and see how these match up with your birth plans. It can also give you a chance to get used to the environment where you will be birthing.
I haven't done the course you are looking at, but have heard great things about the calm birth classes. Great idea if you can book in. There was a thread a couple of months back about Calm birth classes.
I ran a search and found these threads that talk about Calm birth classes.

We have just done a calmbirthing course and OMG!! it was awesome...I have so much more confidence going into this now than I did before. I went with a lady in my area who was listed on the national calmbirthing dot org website so maybe check if your people are registered with them.
I found the hospital ante natal classes to be very boring and a waste of time knowledge wise although as Kate says it gave me the opportunity to see how the hospital operates and to ask a lot of specific questions related to my individual case (I am a high risk patient). It also gave me the chance to meet ladies who were at the same gestation as me and talk about stuff which was great....
