Is there anybody other than the ABA that runs good pre-birth breastfeeding classes? I'm having trouble finding one located close to me that isn't too close to bub's due date. If not i will probably go on a road trip, but thought i would check first.

What suburb are you in? I can find out for you?
I am in Como, in the Sutherland Shire. I don't mind traveling a bit, but the Blue Mts or lower Nth Shore (as per the ABA) just seem a bit far.

Hi,
Your local ABA group is holding their next BECS class at Sutherland Hospital (Caringbah) on 20th February. Looking at your due date that should work out OK.

Kate, I would really recommend making that roadtrip ;) the ABA classes are awesome :D. Have you actually spoken to someone about it to confirm there's not a class closer to you before your EDD? I'm not sure if the website is totally up to date right now.........
Janie's right - they are not all on the website. Anyone wanting to find one in their area can find their local group from the "contact us" section of the ABA website and contact their local counsellor.
I have found a breastfeeding class through RWH, but have also PMed Barb to see if she knows any ABA classes closer to me. I will try the 'contact us' section of ABA. thanks!
I hope Barb can find one that is suitable for you Kate. Hospital classes can be good, but they rarely cover everything that the ABA classes cover. And don't forget that when you enrol in an ABA Breastfeeding Education Class, you get your ABA subscription included :D
