low BBT Temps ... Unusually low ..

Just wondering if anyone is able to let me know if the 3 dpo temp rise is normal?

My temps are quite low this month and the rise is a bit confusing

Hi there, your temp increase is normal - rest assured your chart looks completely normal. In relation to the actual temperatures, they are not the important thing when charting your temps, it is more the pattern to show the increase in temp post ovulation. :)

Looked completely normal to me too!
After a few cycles you will start to see a normal cycle pattern for yourself so don't try and read to much at this stage.

At leaat I now know to just ensure the rises post O and pre O are what i really need to look for at this stage :D

Another Q ...

If there are 2 temp drops below the coverline after O, does this mean I should flag this with my Dr?

I've had 2 drops 1 @ 2dpo and 1@ 5 dpo

After ovulation your temperatures should stay above the coverline for at least twelve days. If your temperatures fall below your coverline this may be an indication of a short luteal phase or a luteal phase defect.

Could be an implatation dip maybe.... your temps are still staying high enough try not to stress too much, sometimes temping makes you think of all the ifs and buts IYKWIM!

Just remember the coverline is just an indication to see an increase in temperature, your temperature does not necessarily have to stay above. And rest assured a temp falling below doesnt mean there is something wrong...a couple of times in various cycles I had a few temps below the line. Just wondering how you take your temp? Only because oral temps can be alter a bit and sometimes vaginal temps give a better result. I found fertility friend website really good for information about charting - have a look :)

At this stage I will just keep on charting and probably post more silly Q's :lol:

I do temp orally - maybe next month I will start Vaginally as so many things can affect your oral temp!

I just think that is one thing that shouldn't be in there :o

I have to agree with you Dannii - My partner doesnt really like the idea either (not that he has any say LOL) but It is an option .. :lol:

Today tho - when i went to the ladies - i THINK i seen a spot of blood. Not too sure if i was hallucinating or if it was what I think it was!?!?! :lol:

I thought that too, but I got absolutely no pattern when I tried oral - whatever works for you I guess. My DP used to laugh at me - but I ended up getting used to doing it before I got out of bed at 640am every morning. The things we do to get a BFP!
