White eye spot in picture - what are the chances?

I was looking back at some old pictures of DS today and noticed in one of the pictures he has one red eye and one white eye. I know that it can be an indicator of particular eye problems such as an eye tumor called retinoblastoma. Although I know it can just be light reflecting on his optic nerve. So obviously I am concerned and will be booking a dr appointment tomorrow morning. But has anyone had any experience with this type of thing? What are the chances of it being a problem or not a problem? The photo is a year old so I would be really concerned if it turned out to be something nasty, about how long he had it for. Probably worrying unnecessarily. :pray:

I hope you're worrying over nothing darl, but I have heard that as well - best to get it checked, then you can stop worrying :)

I agree. I think you should see your GP as soon as possible to get this checked out.

I have an appt tomorrow at 9am for him just with my GP but I will be asking for a referral to an opthalmologist. Not sure how long that part will take though. Hopefully not too long.
To keep myself positive I keep thinking about all of the hundreds of photos he has had taken since this photo without the white showing again. So probably just a fluke of the angle. But not taking chances of course!

We got the all clear from the dr today. She used a 'panoptic' opthalmoscope which she said gave her a really clear view of the eye and it all looked good.
