Is that a tooth I see?

So far he only has his two bottom middle teeth, and one top incisor. All of these have come through with no problems - we didn't know they had come until we suddenly saw/felt them one day.

At the moment though, I am pretty sure DS is getting his top middle teeth. His gums have been all white and bulgy for a while - I can see the teeth sitting right under the gum. However, today I managed to get a look, and in the middle of one of the white bulges is something I can only describe as hole. Is this the tooth finally cutting through the gum?

Yep sounds like it! It looks strange when you first see how the gum is 'cut' hey? I remember first seeing DD's first tooth cutting through.... always wondered how i would know when it was cutting as you'd hear others say 'cutting' a tooth but now i know!

You're lucky your DS hasn't been bothered with the teething! We've had many unsettled nights here because of it :( poor bubba...... DD now has two top and two bottom! All come in over 4 weeks!

Yep I think that's it!! Couldn't see anything like that with DDs bottom ones but when her top ones were coming it looked like she had white ulcers on her gums! ouch!!

Okay thanks - exciting actually - I've been waiting for these top teeth for ages! It's so strange to see - but it makes sense. I thought it was, but I wanted to check :).

Yes, we've been very lucky with teething up until now. These top ones do seem to be bothering him though. Ended up giving him panadol tonight, as he was crying non-stop and gnawing at anything he could get his gums on! Poor little guy :(.

Yep, that sounds like cutting a tooth to me! My DD is rotten when the teeth cut so lucky you to only be discovering this 3 teeth in. I get really sympathetic when DD has this as it looks like it hurts. She's got an incisor coming through at the moment (tooth #6) and is being a bit sooky with it, but not too bad really.

Oh and you can borrow my SM33 tomorrow if you want? We don't need it here at the moment, don't think these eye teeth are EVER going to come :rolleyes:

Lol Mel - hopefully the worst of it will pass tonight while he's sleeping :crossfingers:, and he'll be happy and ready to par-tay with Aricyn tomorrow :). And I may take you up on that SM33 stuff - I don't think the stuff we have really does anything.
