Just need a little support..
Hi, I havnt been on here in ages - life is very busy - but as some of you may remember my little girl had a lump on her anterior fontenelle found at 19weeks she was born perfectly fine. the lump has grown now to a size of about 3cm by 2 cm its quite big, it is right about a main artery that lies between the 2 brain halfs and if they hit that vein we are in trouble...
well we are finally at the removal stage and although it will hopefully be a easy removal they dont know until they open her head up. she has a neuro surgeon and a cranio facial plastic surgeon doing the op (22nd Jan) they are probably going to do a huge incision that pretty much goes half way around her head then they will lift the skin and re position it. this they say will be a better scar long term for her. so ok we are pretty much trusting that they know what they are doing and what ever they think is best. she will need to wear a hat outside for 1 year and it will take 2 years to heal.
Now my problem. I am so scared she will die. I keep like playing out scenes in my head of telling her brother shes not here any more, and i keep playing out the sscene when they come out and tell us she didnt make it. Am I crazy or have anyone else been through this type of thing ... did you do this - i am so scared that i am forseeing what will happen... or am i just trying to prepare myself for the worst.
TIA
Meegm
