First time person TTC ... I have just a few questions

I've only just started ttc, and I don't know much about the whole issue... so I thought I'd relate some things...


Firstly... I've been "unofficially" diagnosed with PCOS. No tests were run or anything, the doctor just seemed to think my symptoms correlated to those of PCOS... How much is this likely to affect my conception chances without taking some kind of hormonal treatment?

I have an odd cycle of 40 days, which I thought was much too long for a menstrual cycle, but thats what I've calculated mine as being over the past four or five months of tracking. Though I do occasionally have spotting the week or so after my period... Random spotting thats not even enough to wear a panty liner, and its only noticable when I go to pee.

Because of the PCOS, I wasn't sure whether or not I ovulated like normal, and have over the past few months worked out my ovulation times using over the counter kits that I got at the pharmacy. I imagined if I wasn't ovulating properly due to the PCOS, that the tests would not work? Though they're still showing me as ovulating...


So... with the ovulating kits. I tested yesterday, and my test line was darker than my control line, so my partner and I jumped into the sack and had some fun. How important is it to raise my bum up to make sure the spermies stay inside me? After he "cums" he doesn't pull out for at least a couple minutes, to prevent leakage, and I stay horizontal (though usually I need to pee) and as soon as he pulls out I clench all the muscles down there to try and contain the :sperm: ...


But in relation to that, ovulation test kit yesterday showed I was ovulating, so we had sex until we were worn out. And some more again this morning. A few hours later I went to the bathroom to find I was bleeding a bit. It was more like a lot of cervical mucous, with bits of blood in it. I'm not sure what this means, if it means anything at all. :think:

So um.... yeah, I can't think of anything else right this instant, but if I think up anything else, I'll ask in a reply here, rather than editing this first post...
