decisions decisions

Hi there I am a really boring mum, who likes really traditional names and it doesnt help that we are Smith's :p but I am stuck and looking for the favourites out of my short list and any other suggestions.

DD1 is Emma Frances and was Baby Smith for the first 2 days, something which I really don't want to go through again :o

We are having another girl and it has to stand up with Emma, middle name will be either Clare or May

Charlotte May/Clare
Georgia May/Clare known as Georgie
Lily May
Tessa Clare known as Tess

DH is not getting involved this time, he said that all the choices we made last time I disregarded when she was born, so will not think about it until he see's her...typical:wall:

My fave is Lily May from your list....by a long shot!

I think Tessa is cute. They're all lovely actually. If you like traditional names and nicknames, keep in mind that Charlotte might get called Charli.

But if i had to choose i would go for Georgia May. Sounds good with Emma and your surname :)

Thanks ladies, isn't it funny you have all picked a different one, now I know its not just me, but Georgia May is the front runner.

Im going to try to change it to a poll, but it maybe a bit complicated for me.

Loula - Dh was a big fan of Ella last time round, I was to start with but couldnt shake the feeling it should be short for something and we couldn't agree on a longer version. I couldnt see an older lady being called Ella, its too cute. Emma wasn't even on the list but just worked when she was born.

Another option for us could be Annie (dh grandma) but Emma and Annie sounds like a childrens programme with puppets :o and again could be a little too cute for me.

Here are my preferences

Charlotte May/Clare - Charlotte May - can be known as Charli or Lotti
Georgia May/Clare known as Georgie - Georiga May, Georgie is great nickname
Lily May - I think this might be a fairly common combo so I woul go with Lily Clare
Tessa Clare known as Tess - I prefer Tessa May, I think they just fit together better, no real reason, and Tess/Tessa is lovely, she may also get Tessie.

Lily May would be my fave! IT is such a beautiful and feminine name, perfect for a pretty little princess. :)
My DH was much the same as yours until recently, as all the names he brought to me were just rediculas (which he knew), but then had the hide to go and say that I say no to everything he comes up with.... I quickly reminded him about ALL the names I come to him with day in and day out and he says no to all of them... He did a back flip very quickly and now we have finally managed to pick a boys name, still working on the girl.
