My Lil Dare Devil.

Ava SHOULD have been a boy, i swear it... she is such a little dare devil and i love it! :lol:

DP's cousin had her DS's 6th birthday today, last weeks she told me she hadn't invited Ava as it was at a play centre that is a massive DOUBLE STORY jungle jim type thing.
They have a little kids room but it's away from the party room and she didn't think i would want to be alone in there with A aswell as having to watch Z.

So DP sends her a txt last night as a joke saying that SIL and her kids are going and my 15mth old has more 'balls' than both her kids put together (5 & 3 - very sooky and not allowed to explore a great deal) so cousin calls me and says your welcome to come and were prob right A will prob enjoy it more than SIL's kids.

So i get there today and this place is MASSIVE, it has a big slide like 2 storeys high and a HUGE jumping castle thing, A was in heaven chasing all the kids around.
It's an 'ADULT SIZED PLAYGROUND' so parents can chase them etc etc, so Z was asleep and SIL was watching her while i chased A around.
We eventually ventured into the actual paly area and went down one twisty slide thing and she giggled the entire way down.

SOOOOOOOOOO i decided stuff it, let's go for the big one... we went down about 4 times and she laughed every time, it's PITCH BLACK in there and we kept getting stuck and having to push down, she thought it was funny as.
She was running after all the big kids, would only go on the jumping thing if other people were on there to bounce her.

Outside of today she goes on the motorbike with daddy, goes on the go-kart with daddy, bounces on the tramp with her big cousins, does flips onto her fold out couch, chases our dogs, rides her roller coaster backwards, jumps off the couch onto the mattress when we slept in the lounge on hot nights.... :rofl:

So who's your little dare devil and what do they do?

So glad she's like this as were stopping at 2 and at least DP kinda has a boy!

My DD2 was a climber. Nothing to find her up a 20 foot tree yelling she was stuck. Was told you got up there get yourself down. Would climb anything and after a while I just didn't see her. We had to chop the tree down as other kids, who were not natural climbers would try and follow her up.
She was in a bed at 18 months as she would climb out of the cot when the rails were up
One day we were at a nearby lake and another mother who didn't know her was getting very upset as she could see this little child on top on the monkey bars. I took her down to please her as some parents just don't get the climbing thing.
I found she hardly had any falls, seems to be kids that are natural climbers hardly fall.
Enjoy your tomboy as you will never know what is around the corner but it make life fun. :)

I have 2 climbers...dd1 has hardly had a fall. DD2 has been walking for 2 weeks now... well, the 2nd day she walked she also worked out she can climb the ladder up into the trampoline....Now its the stairs up to the top of the slide, which she loves to either just stand there and jump abourt, or slide down....She has also tried unsuccessfully to climb over the couch just like her big sis! She has no issues with stairs at all....its fun and keeps me on my toes. Oh I have quite a few grey hairs now!

:lol: you gotta love them...Ava sounds like fantastic fun!!! Lucys our climber she has been able to climb the slide on the hills swing set since she could walk and she is for ever on the furniture. My son is from a previous relationship and has never been adventuress(sp?) Im sure Lucy is more of a boy than he is :ROFL: and my DH sounds like yours couldnt be happier with his little tomboy!!

Yep, a climber and general daredevil here too.

Found her on top of the dining table when she was 10 months old (we have a concrete floor!)
Found her up a 7ft ladder at 14 months and at the top of our pullout pantry.
When she sees stairs she not only wants to climb them but she jumps off each one to the floor, gradually getting higher.
Continuously gets out of the swimming pool, runs around to the adults and tries to jump into the deep end to the pensioners doing aqua aerobics.
She thinks falling over is HILARIOUS and says "DD fall down" at least 50 times a day. Finds it even more hysterical when she sees someone diving for a catch on the cricket. Yells, points and shouts at TV, "MAN FALL DOWN!"
Made a bolt for the water at Docklands and was so fast she almost got there before I could stop her.
If there's an opportunity to swing off something, she's there. Swings off the mantlepiece in her bedroom and yes, you've guessed it every 30 seconds I hear her chuckling, "DD fall down."

DP says DD is living proof that we are descended from monkeys.

Hehe what is it about climbing :rolleyes:... Ava likes climbing the swings too (lucky we don't have any) amongst other things.

Lucylu - Ava is fun and i LOVE that she is like this, i was the same and still am a tomboy.
Mark loves it aswell, neither of us wanted a child that doesn't want to try things or isn't allowed to get dirty etc.
Marks cous just laughs at me because i don't get stressed about her, she falls i tell her to get up, brush her off and off we go again... lol

I love adventurous kids, they have so much character and can amuse themselves, i have no doubts over the next 15yrs or so we will have quite a few trips to the ED with Miss Ava.

DP says the same about DD too - that all the doctors will know her name and say "oh, it's DD again."

He also says that her last words will be, "hold my beer ... now WATCH THIS!!!"

I can totally see Ava saying something like this too... scarily enough i'm pretty sure i have said pretty much those exact words :redface:

I was the girl that had more male friends than female, loved footy, cars etc and then the boys wondered why i was single... hmmm cos your all my FRIENDS and no-one thinks of me like that.... :rofl:
I have no doubt Ava is going to be that girl aswell, and i'm not sure if that will make DP happy as he knows no-one is interested or make him worry cos he was the 'friend' that wanted more and knows how they think.... hahahaha the joys our men have to look forward too!
