Fridge freezing vegies??!!

In the last few weeks my fridge has been playing up :( All my fruit n vegies are freezing...originally I had them in the crisper so when they started freezing I swapped them with hubby's beer...but no matter where they are in the fridge they still freeze, especially the lettuce and cucumber :( And Ive noticed any dairy products dont seem to be keeping cold enough.
The fridge is a fisher & paykel frost free upside down one. Its pretty old (like maybe 10 years give or take) Until I can find work I really cant afford to buy a new one and the repair guy I called wouldnt offer any advice and said I would be looking at a $110 call out fee + labour and parts! Ouch!
So anyway Im just wondering if anyone has any ideas or advice on how I can fix this without costing a fortune???

Maybe the fan isnt working properly. Is something blocking it? What about the seals, do they need replacing? Look in your local paper if you need someone to come, I can quite often find someone cheaper by ringing around the ads in there.
