Confused done a hpt and faint positive ??

I sadley lost my baby on the 7th jan due to a missed miscarriage - the 7th jan was a thursday and on the 4th jan the monday that evening i went for a private scan that showed baby was alive - i had a nhs scan on the 7th the thursday which showed baby had died so on the 7th jan they took bloods one of which was a hcg bt on the 12th jan a tuesday i went for a d&c to remove baby - i asked nurse if my bt results was back and she give me 2 which was my hcg and my progesterone - hcg was 6555 i though mmm quite low to me - my baby was very small and was not growing so its a possibility my baby had somthing wrong with him/her and i read on line that sick babies can give low hcg levels in pregnancy - maybe it was a bit higher and it dropped so quick to 6555 in the matter of the two days ? .... Or maybe i needed hcg support because i did have a low hcg and this was why the baby was not growing .. hence you need hcg for the pregnancy to progress i.e baby to grow - this i will find out when get results from baby in april. Anyway its been 3weeks 3days since i was told baby had died and the hcg taken on that day was 6555 and its been 2weeks 2 days since my d&c removed whole of pregnancy - i had NO bleeding at ALL when come out of theatre and have had none since ... so i am assuming that my doctor done a good job and removed everything - scraped the whole of my womb lining away and this is why i have had no bleeding as i have no lining to shed .. makes sence ??

Me and dh have had sex three times since my op - twice last week and onec on tuesday just gone - During my pg i had to keep needing to pee during the night - my bladder would fill straight away after emptying it - i have been needing to do this STILL so i have been emptying my bladder before bed but still needing to PEE plus my wee looks just like when i was pregnant ... yellow and cloudy ?

Somthing just felt different - i am poorly at the moment have a horrible head cold - so
asked dh if he would get me to early pregnancy tests from the chemist 10ml sensitive ones - I done my first morning wee collected it in a container and then waited for dh to return with the tests - i used 1 test in the first morning wee watched it run through and started to notice a second line - ... i stared at it thinking what the heck and carried on watching it till it was done - picked it up and there is a 2nd faint but PINK line ?
So i emptied away that urine and done a fresh urine done the 2nd test straight away watched this running through and noticed a 2nd line showing - thought i dont understand ... then picked up the test and there is a 2nd positive line faint but PINK.
You can see both lines on the tests holding them away from you ???

How can this be ... i read on line that after a d&c as all pregnancy is removed the hcg goes straight to zero within a day 2 max - its been 2weeks 2 days since the op and 3weeks since my loss so shouldnt it be well at zero now ?? The only other thing i could find for this was that its possible a bit of the placenta was left over during d&c and its producing blood flow keeping the hcg at bay but this says if you have had spottinng etc
i have had no bleeding what so ever so i cant see a bit of the placenta being left over from this d&c otherwise i would of bled if all the lining was not shed ...

Its so confusing - i cant be pregnant can i ?? would i of ovulated so early and would i know this early - i just done understand and have the tests here 9 hrs later can clearly still see 2 second faint but pink lines on the 10ml sensitive tests ??

Sometimes it can take a lot longer than 2 days for the HCG to be out of your system, even after a D&C.

With my first preg, I still had some HCG in my system 3 weeks after the D&C, by 4 weeks after the D&C it was fully gone.

It all depends on how quickly your kidneys can process it.

Also, you may very well be preg again. I have been told repeatedly by doctors etc that you are more fertile in that first cycle after a D&C or a miscarriage than you are in any normal cycle.

In the TTC group that I am part of here on BB, many girls who have had a miscarriage have ended up preg again the very next cycle, so it is definately possible.

Maybe go to the doctors and organise a series of blood tests over a period of a week to see what the HCG levels are doing? If they rise, then you are preg, if they drop then most likely it is left over traces of HCG from your precious angel.

My friend had a m/c earlier in the year, and within 3 weeks was pregnant again and is now about 15 weeks with no problems. I agree with JennaJayen that maybe a visit to the docs for blood tests would give you the best answer. If there is a little one in there I am sending you lots of :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:

i think i will test again tomorrow and it should be darker if new pg then will go doctors for a blood test - if the test is not darker like it should be then its old hcg from my little angel - xxx

So so sorry you lost your bub :comfort:. I checked my records and my Hcg did not go back to zero until 3 weeks after my d&c having said that I too have heard of people falling again before the first AF.
