As the title says, I have forgotten to send off for Ruby's birth certificate. I will pop the form in the mail over the weekend, does anyone know if there is a fine if you dont get it in within the 60 day timeframe?

she's only 55 days hun - chuck it in the post - you should be fine - express post if you're concerned...
No honey, you'll be fine :) My friend's son is two and it wasn't until after his second birthday that she stumbled across the paperwork for BDM that she'd put away and forgot about!! She called up, they just said send it on in, better late than never - she wasn't fined or reprimanded in any way for it :)
Ours was a few days late for one of ours and it was fine. xo
Do you mean the birth registration? Should be fine. The certificate is optional it's the registration that's important
You'll be fine! You can change her name too  (I am kidding, though friends of mine JUST did that )
Our registration paperwork got lost in the mail! I was really worried about what would happen so I rang them and they said just to get a new lot of paperwork (luckily MIL is a midwife and did this for me) and write a letter about what had happened. No problem at all. We got her certificate in the mail not long after I sent the paperwork off. Different situation but just wanted to say they are very understanding. I would pop it in an express envelope like others said just for your peace of mind but I don't think they will care.
Don't you know the rules? They make you put the baby back and do it again if they don't get it within 60 days. ;)
In Queensland there is a fee for the late registration of births - $3.80 - so definitely bound to break the piggy bank :p
I would think it would be similar in other states, but highly doubt they could be bothered chasing anyone up for $3.80 if you don't pay it when you lodge.
I still haven't recieved mine, but keep forgetting everytime it's businesss hours to call! Agh
I didn't even think about the fact it could be lost in the mail~ DOH~
