... getting a ladycup

Actually, I thought I posted this already. But I'm looking at getting a ladycup from the EU - the Aussie Dollar's around .65 euros. anyone interested in a bulk order?

I just bought two ladycups on ebay for $42 australian - delivered. The manufacturer has an ebay store, so you can get all sizes and all colours from them on there, and really cheap.

Also, I ordered and paid on a Thursday and they arrived by the following Wednesday (which just happened to be the day AF started - awesome timing!!! Was expecting to get them in time for the following month!).

Seriously can't recommend highly enough - either the ladycup or the ebay option. Both are awesome. Hope this helps =)

I had never heard of menstrual cups until the middle of last year

I bought one out of curiosity and am really disappointed that i didnt hear about them sooner

They're easy as... They're kind of like tampons, although non drying. They're generally made of silicon, so nothing that absorbs any bodily fluids, so you don't get the pulling that you can get with tampons.

They're a little scary when you first look at one as they are so much wider than tampons. I looked at mine and thought "holy #$%^ - how am I going to fit that in there?!?!", but it was simple. You kinda fold it in half, then in half again so that it turns out to be about the size of a tampon, then insert it and it unfolds inside of you. I can't feel it at all when it is in. It was a little uncomfortable to remove for the first couple of days, but I think that's just because of my skin and how it has healed from my perineum tear.

I have two ladycups (purple ones!), so I always have a clean one ready to insert when it is time for change. I think many people just tip out the fluid and reinsert, but I just couldn't get my head into that one! I need my clean cup - personal preference, no judgement. I'm just squeamish!

I did a bunch of research on them before I purchased mine, and ladycup seems by far the easiest to clean - no raised writing, logos and such for blood to get stuck in and around or to cause any discomfort during fitting. They are also really (REALLY) cheap on ebay - I purchased my two pack for $42 with free delivery worldwide. They ship from prague, and it was here within 4 business days (or three is you consider that I paid at about 10pm on Thursday and it arrived early the following wednesday morning). Unbelievable. Best thing I ever purchased!!!

I'm considering buying a third to leave in the car for emergencies, although a little worried about sterlisation... (squeamish ;)
