Swollen feet?
I noticed for the first time on Sunday that my feet were a bit swollen, and they were a bit swollen again when I got home from work today. Not really worried yet, but I will be asking my doctor about it next Tuesday.
I was just a bit curious if any of you other ladies had your feet swell, and if you did when it started?

Mine started in the first trimester, so swollen and throbbing my shoes stretched to look like boats. I just elavated my feet whenever I could.
Isn't it fun!

I had a shocking time with swollen feet (nothing else swelled though). It was agonizing at times, even after sleeping all night with them up.
I can't remember exactly when it started, but I do remember it got worse the bigger I got - I had to go up two sizes in shoes. Walking around made it worse too. My OB was never concerned really because it was only my feet.
Good luck, I hope yours aren't as bad!

I had really swollen feet from about 20 weeks, by the end of it I could only get my thongs on..unfortunately mine didn't go away afterwards and still get swollen but I think I have some vascular problems..oh the joys ;)

My fingers and toes are getting fat. really not nice, but nothing to worry about unless it you get very swollen hands and feet and especially if you're getting head aches. :)
All sounds as though you're experiencing yet another fun part of pregnancy! hehehe
Take care :D

i have found my feet, ankles and legs have been swollen in varying degrees since 8weeks. mainly noticably because i didnt really have calves or thighs before. my g-ma suggested i did some stretches & exercises that she does for varicose veins to increase circulation. these seem to help me when im all achy.

Thanks for all your replies ladies. It's made me feel a bit better knowing I'm not the only one experiencing it 'this early' IYKWIM.

I had very swollen feet and ankles in my first pregnancy, I think it began at 16 weeks from memory.
For me I think it was because I worked a lot standing on my feet all day and was in my third trimester in the hotter weather.
The big concern with swelling is if it is an early warning sign for pre-eclampsia so there may be worried care givers tut tutting at you, but if you don't have any other symptoms you should be given the all clear. Just keep it in mind for yourself too!
It is a real annoyance though.. the throbbing, the tingling, the ugly cankles! I spent all evening every night with my feet up and it didn't really help too much.
This time it has been better. I have found that drinking heaps of water (Woo Hoo, just what every pg person with a little one kicking their squished bladder all day wants to hear) and drinking green tea has really helped.
More fluid in helps the fluid move around more apparently :dunno:
