Bump "dropped" - what does this mean?

Hey guys,

People have been telling me for the past few days that my bump has dropped. I've noticed this myself. I was really high up and now it's significantly lower.

Does this mean anything at all?
I'm just curious!!

It usually means that your baby has engaged :)

yeah it is usually a sign that bubba is engaging. they can still float around a bit apparently...but for me she stuck there and didnt budge until the day she arrived. makes sitting down all the more *interesting* as their head butts against the cervix LOL!

Im 32 weeks today and i too have noticed that bub has dropped considerably to what he/she was a week ago ...i had a scan on thursday and it was reveiled to me the that bubs is head down...so yay for us, just hope they both stay that way!

I am not sure if my bump has dropped, but have been feeling a lot more pressure lower down the past few days. I feel like i need to wee, just after i have already gone. I was thinking bubmust have gone a bit lower.

Yes this usually means that your baby has engaged and yes your baby can float out again
