Our near Toilet Baby
Hi All
Thought I should get around to actually writing the story of the birth of my partner Sean and I first baby Jayde Ashley.
Born on 24th January at 11.47pm Naturally weighing 7lb 5oz (3.3kgs)
It started after having period cramps on the Friday night. I was feeling a little outta the wether and said to a friend I was getting pains on the Friday night that were coming and going in waves - so we decided to time them they were 30 mins apart but then they stopped.
Waking up on Saturday I was in a bit of pain but nothing I couldnt fix with panadine and I lost my plug at about 2am after sitting up watching old movies (as I called the hospital to ask what I could take) By Sunday I believe is when labor started it was lunch time and I said to Sean that I felt strange and had this weird sensation like I needed to go to the toilet - I was unaware at the time that this was Jayde saying she was ready to come out.
At 9.30 at night I said to Sean I am going to bed please come in and check on me as I am feeling weird - He suggested we went to the hospital as both of us wanted to hear the heart beat - so we did. I walked all the way to maternity and said to them I was having pain but it wasnt all that bad.
They put the foetal moniter on and her heart rate would drop with every pain - so they got ob and he said do an internal - well her head was sitting right there - so they rush me into delievry room and after an epesiotimy - as her heart rate dropped she was out within about 17mins of pushing
My little girl was born - she wasnt breathing and had to be resussed but with a little bit of work she started to cry - so Daddy got first hug and then mummy as they were fixing me up
She was born premi and didnt need special care :)
So if I wasnt so tight I would have had her on the toilet at home :)

haha yes Ali it is a good thing or otherwise I would have been fishing her outta our toilet
I was told that birth weight she would have been about 8lbs

Wow, what a great job you did! Luckily DH got you to the hossy when he did, he must have known! :)
How premmi was your princess? It's fantastic she didn't need to go ot the SCN, what a little fighter.

She was 3 weeks (so it was pratically full term)
Such a little fighter - I was suprised she didnt need to go as her Apcard scores were pretty low
