Almost 2 year old rolling in the bath

Last night my DD who turns 2 next week started laying on her belly in the bath, keeping her head out of water (except when she wanted to blow bubbles) and kicking her legs. Then tonight she was doing that again but also rolling from belly to back and laying on her back with her head touching the bottom of the bath (I don't fill the bath deep enough for the water to go over her face when she does that). She kept rolling from belly to back and back to belly while in the bath having the time of her life, kicking her legs etc.
Is this extra confidence in water normal at 2 years old? Should I be worried?
I have been leaving the bathroom for a 1-2 minutes at a time to pack up her toys, make a bottle and get everything ready for her to come to bed. Thankfully her bedroom looks right into the bathroom, but now because she seems to love spending time on her belly and back in the bath I'm scared to leave her for even one second.

Mine does exactly the same and has been for quite some time. Also does a running commentary saying, "turning baby, turning baby" and laughing. She doesn't care how many times she bonks her head on the side of the bath either.

I like that she's confident but I wouldn't leave her on her own for that very reason.

DD also did the same! it must be fun

DD does this aswell, only way we can wash her hair lol..

at 2 and a half im now confident to leave the room for a minute to grab something. but i keep talking and making sure she is replying.. though she is a noisey one you could hear her down the street lol

My DD1 does it too. She says "swimming mummy!". She loves it. Like you we don't fill the bath up very deep so it doesn't tend to worry me but I don't leave her in the bath on her own at all anyway so it's never really crossed my mind as it being a problem.....great that she likes her bath too!!

My DS does it too. He's much braver than DD is in the water. DS and DD bathe together, and I will leave the room for a few mins at a time to get stuff organised. I keep my ears open for them talking and splashing and I'm in and out every few mins to check on them. I'm never out for more than about 3ish mins withough looking in on them. I like that DS is so confident in the water. I feel that if he ever went under he would manage to get up on his own, where as with DD I think she would panic and have trouble in the water alone. Of course I hope that never happens!!

My twins do this too, they think it is a great way to avoid me when I tell them bathtime is over! I leave them alone for a minute here and there but they are very noisy, laughing and chatting with each other, so I know I would hear if anything happened and I am only ever next door to the bathroom.

Thanks for your replies. I think she seems to instantly think of it as "swimming" coz if I say "are you going to have a swim", she'll lay back and start kicking her legs and roll over.
