How do you amuse an almost 2yo on rainy day?
DS1 (23 months) has been home for the past week with an ear infection and cold (missing his usual 2 days in daycare plus mum's group), so he's starting to get cabin fever ... but at least he's been able to go outside and play now and then.
But ... the rain has well and truly set in today in Brissie. And I need some ideas on amusing DS indoors.
He will play with his toys on and off and he likes to have books read to him, but he's not really interested in colouring in, a bit young for dress ups and if I let him help me cook he'd have flour or similar from one end of the house to the other! And I don't have craft type stuff to make things (albeit I have glue and sticky tape ). I don't really want DS1 watching TV all day (well, he'll watch it for a few mins and then get bored - he'd rather be active) and I'm coughing and spluttering a bit too, so while I'm happy to read to him, I'd rather not have to do it ALL day.
Would love some tried and true ideas from mums of other toddlers as to how to keep them entertained indoors for a while.
Cheers, Andie
