I feel so sad - I didn't get time to post in the newborn thread and now I have a month old bubba!!! He's doing well though so that's the main thing, just got back from MCHN and he's 8lbs 15oz now - 3 pounds in 4 weeks! And I wish I could LOSE 3 pounds in 4 weeks LMAO!!! Here's my bit:

Wow a month went quickly!! Thats great he's put on so much weight Kelly! He's now the size Matilda was when she was born...lol!

She's done a huge growth spurt again and I noticed today as I was dressing her that nothing fit... she's gone from 00 to 0 in a blink of an eye!! She can wear the separate clothes like tops & bottoms, but body suits don't fit her anymore!! & I weighed her this week & she's 8.3kg...so she's put on 1kg in a month!! No wonder she doesn't fit anything!! & she's grown out of all the first shoes we bought for her...only wearing them once each!! :cry: my baby is growing up! Wow...never thought I'd worry about that!! LOL!

LOL Christy. I think you worry about your last baby growing up more I keep asking Lachlan to stay little forever but he isn't bloody listening to me LOL.

Welcome to Belly Belly and Snowy. Boy does time fly. Amelia grasped hold of a rattle and held it for a few minutes yesturday. We have been able to do without a dummy thus far. We used one for ds but Amelia has not needed one yet. She has just started to chat herself to sleep in the past few days. I love it when they do that. We go to the mchn on Monday for a weigh in. Haven't been for 1 month so it will be interesting. I had some personal posts from November but know cannot remember. Oh well.

hi there everyone

december already ahh where's the year gone. i finished xmas shopping today hooray, now all i have to do is race around xmas eve and pick up the layby's (handy to have the big stores hide all the santa pressies)

wow kelly 1mth already it does go quick, i decided i would put lani into her cot tonight but couldn't she is in the bassinet beside our bed still lol. i don't know what is with me the other two were in the cots in their rooms by 8 wks oh well maybe tommorrow.

michelle - sorry to hear about hubby;s machine what a bugger so close to christmas. no jay doesn't go to school next year he was born 6 days after the cut off so he will be nearly 6 when he goes which will be good i think the older the better sometimes. he is so excited to go to big kinder next year and so am i as 3yr old kinder only goes for 2hrs a week not long enough for the both of us.

anyway hope you are all going well - it is going to be harder with the posts soon as all the new bubbies come in.

I'm sure there is plenty of time to put Lani into her cot. Amelia is still in her bassinette although she sleeps in a separate room to us. I am a light sleeper so toss and turn at every noise. I have to change ds into big bed b4 we can make the move into a cot. Even that is going to be interesting as we need to make room in the office for the cot or have the two sleep together.!!!!! Not sure what we will do.

yup sleeping arrangements can be a bugger, i am already thinking of if i have another baby where will it sleep - we have a 4 bedroom house but one of the rooms was dd and i really don't know what we will do with her room - sigh. i moved my dd from cot to bed when i was preggers with ds she was only 18mths old when she went into the bed and i will never forget her tapping me on the shoulder in the middle of the night fair dinkum i reckon i nearly went into labour there and then lol.

i think lani will sleep better in the cot - she sleeps well in it during the day, and lately she has been getting herself unwrapped and likes to sleep in the flying position lol so her hands keep hitting the sides of the bassinet, i also seem to reach over and stick the dummy in at the first little noise which obviously when it falls out re wakes her, during the day she hardly has the dummy maybe to fall asleep but she tends to just grizzle and puts herself back however during the night it is so quiet and i don;t want her waking dh so i attend to her a bit quickly lol

oh well am off to bed now night all

Haven't got much time, Arron's machine is all done and we are back up and running and owe considerably more to the bank now.

Good to see you here Kelly, boy time has flown, Jessica is 3 months tomorrow! BOO HOO!

Michelle I am in no hurry to boot Jessica out of the bassinette, the longer the better, she may stay littler that way.

I am so wanting to have her weighed and measured, maybe next week!

A m off to the drs tomorrow to check out my throat, strangely enough I think I have worked out what it is, it has something to do with my stomach as I think I have ulcers and it seems like rising gas is causing the propblem, so know we will try to get it checked out.

Hope it is resolved quickly as I have had 5 weeks of discomfort and 2 sleepless nights wondering if I might stop breathing (highly irrational I know, but it has stressed me so much, I even told Arron I loved him and to make sure the kids know I love them, Just in case). I am highly stressed at the moment.

Just on the bassinette thing. I moved Kameron into one around 7 wks old cause he hated being wrapped and then when he could touch the sides he hated that as well. Lachlan however never got moved till either 14 or 17wks (can't remember which) but it was quite a bit later than Kameron. We also had a bigger basinette for Lachlan so I think that helped somewhat.

I was about the same as Astrolady. Think moved Liam into a cot around the same time. Was getting too long and would kick the ends and get grizzly.

Kel I started your plan yesterday but I ended up giving liam his 4th feed of the day forumla (Mummy had a bailys to wind down) At 7 had his feed woke at 8 stayed up until 10 and fell back asleep. Ended up waking him and giving another feed. He is usually a very content and happy boy but not that content. Usually 2-3 hours would be screaming for another feed but I think they say formula is more filling???

So good to hear Kelly and Christy your bubs are packing on the pounds!! I remember a few weeks ago Christy you were conserned because Matilda wasnt drinking much so thats great to hear!!

I cant' believe that we are in December already.

Kelly - -Thanks for the earlier post about your return to work and breast/ formula without expressing - I will definitely try it. I have to admit that I thought that if you missed feeds then you would dry up but your ideas sound fantastic.

I can't remember who mentioned earlier about showering with baby since he did a wee in the bath. I have to say that we have had a poo in the bath which was very unpleasant - although I said that I had to feed Luke and left DH to clean up!!!

Welcome to Snowgirl and Kelly (and anyone else I might have missed) - this forum is certainly filling up quickly.
