Gestational Diabetes Test - do I need to fast?

I'm having my GD test tomorrow morning - do I need to fast before hand?

i think it depends whether it's the short or long test. i went straight to the long test & it was a fasting one. most people, i think, start with the other & i don't think it's fasting. they should definitely have told you if it was the fasting one though.

I'm doing the short one - they didn't say anything about fasting ... as long as they're not expecting me to "just know" these things!!

sometimes the hospitals just expect you to know things & it's completely frustrating! but i think you should be okay with the short one. good luck :)

i had to fast from the night before, so no breakfast in the morning. Are you having the test first thing? if so, maybe miss breaky but take something with you so you can have it as soon as the test is done (i was mega hungry).
