Blocked Tubes - Does giving birth help their condition?

Just wondering as this is an IVF ICSI bub, due to having two blocked tubes, is it possible that giving birth and pregnancy can unblock tubes? As I know it does help other fertility issues like Endo etc.

We have two Frozen bubs but just wondered what our chances are of conceiving naturally after this birth? :pray:

I wonder about this too as I have blocked tubes and had endo too (but it was removed).

To be honest, I can't see how pregnancy can unblock tubes - but you never know. I'd love to think that I could have a natural pregnancy following this one.

I'd love to hear others thoughts on this.

It seems to be more common to conceive naturally with blocked tubes after you have had a pregnancy. I think the hormones of pregnancy can help relax the tubes and that can unblock them if they can release what is blocking them. When they are blocked from damage from adhesions and endo the chances of them become opened enough to get pregnant naturally are reduced. But if you have a healthy looking blocked tube/s with no adhesions then I'd say the chance is much better.
Ninah did you have ICSI because of sperm issues also?
In a few months we will be starting IVF for a damaged tube which is open but the outside is in poor condition (other lost from ectopic pregnancy) I am :pray: IVF is successful and then we have a natural surprise down the track also as we wouldn't be having IVF again once we birth a baby.

Hi Mildez, DH has a lower SP Count but they said not enough for concern, the main issues of our troubles was myself.
Are you going to do a fresh ICSI cycle? Chances are you may end up with some frozen embryo's for later use. Hopefully this is the case *hugs*

I am not sure if we would have ICSI or just IVF yet. I should find out in September (but hopefully I get pregnant before then but its unlikely) My understanding was ICSI is only usually done with poor fertilization rates or known sperm abnormalities. My DH sperm has a higher rate of abnormal shapes etc and low motility but he has a very good count. So I dont know what they will recommend. I'd prefer ICSI as we know there are some issues but I think they will recommend IVF. Time will tell.

Yeah I would love there to be some frozen snow babies left if we have a success and have a baby however I am not sure how DH would feel about that using them for another baby as it will be my 3rd and his second. We agreed on 4 but now with infertility things have changed. We aren't in agree-ence yet as what to do if that occured. I would like to give any snowbubs a chance either with myself or donate them to someone else once our family if complete.

Once I have had another baby and at this stage we are willing to try several stim cycles to do that we were going to take the not try but not prevent method and if it happens it happens. Personally I dont know how I could not try as I would want it so much (I've always wanted a large family) but having trouble ttc has put such a strain on our marriage DH just will be happy to have one more and close the book.

My last lap my tube was opened but I still can't get pregnant but it is most likely the mobility of the tube causing it as well as DH lowered sperm normality/motility.

I was interested in the exact same theory. We have a beautiful 11 month old baby girl from ICSI FET, and im hoping for a natural surprise. (main issue is my blocked tubes and endo)

We haven't used any contraceptive thus far so if it happens anytime soon i'll let you know! :)
