How's your sleep?
I'm struggling to get any decent sleep at the moment.
I find that I am having to sleep sitting up - propped with loads of pillows.
Sleeping on my left is really sore with round ligament pain. Sleeping on my right means I am being savaged by bubby - she obviously doesn't like it when I sleep on that side!!
How is everyone else managing?
Cheers
Sue x

 I remember being at your stage and being so upset that I couldnt sleep. I was actually prescribed by my midwife and doctor restavit tablets. I took half a one each night and it helped me sleep. I had tried all other natural methods and nothing worked.
Hope you get some better sleep soon

Hi Sue,
I know exactly what you mean darl because i am going through this right now myself ....it is almost at the stage where sleeping is becoming near impossible even with a mountain of pillows to prop myself up on.
Sorry i know this doesnt help you at all but i just want you to know that your not alone and i feel your pain. Not long now and our bubbas will be here with us.
Take care x

 Hugs to you all!! I can remember going through this last year. I dreaded night time as I was so uncomfortable & couldn't sleep. Used to wake up & cry every morning because I was STILL pregnant!!
I remember feeling so much more comfortable once DS had been born - could actually lay down without getting reflux!! So hang in there :) Just make sure you put your feet up during the day when you can & take it easy.

Sometimes i can sleep ok, but when I get a row of nights not sleeping it makes everything tough. I have a pile of cushions that get rotated, sometimes just a little one under my tummy works, other times its the big body pillow, and sometimes none of them work. Rolling over involves alot of effort and grunting and is not pretty sight.
Reflux tends to play up at night, and so does the carpal tunnel (sore hands due to excess fluid).
Having a shower before bed seems to calm everything down and gives me a few good hours sleep.
take care,

for me i had bad heart burn ( it goes away straight after birth ) thank god
so i had to sit up on lots of pillows. if i slept on my right side i would get heart burn but if i slept on my left side which helped the burn i got a sore arm leg and hips
sigh- i didnt really sleep- do u have a body pillow? i got one from lincraft for 20 bucks early on and it was my life savour- i still sleep with it its that comfy
-
I second the body pillow!! I used to sleep wrapped around it as it was a long thin one. Then DH would position pillows underneath my shoulders & head to help with reflux. I found once i put some towels under the bottom sheet in case of leaks that helped my poor aching hips too.

Sleep? What is that anymore?
I have had to get a script off my Dr for sleeping tablets to help me...but alas they don't work. I had one the onther night and had bad dreams all night plus I was still getting up peeing all night anyway....
With sore hips, leaking boobies and a constant full bladder, I don't really get much sleep. Rolling over is like a 3 point turn. I have to grab the edge of the bed, shuffle over, roll, turn then get comfortable again....takes me ages...lol, then after I do get comfy, i need to pee anyway, so its such an effort...but as long as I can have a nap during the day, i'll be ok....

Ahhh, I'm not alone then!
I have to say, I HATE my body pillow. DH calls it the Great Wall of the bedroom. LOL.
I don't use it any more as it just gets in the way.
I find that I get the best sleeps after DH goes to work (I make his breakie and then go back to bed) and then also have an afternoon nap at around 3pm.
But I still struggle to get comfy even at those times.
Not long to go now though hey?

I am keeping my eye on u for that BA Sue:)

Since I stopped work last week I have been sleeping really well (hope I didn't just jinx myself!) - I love my body pillow (DH doesn't though and made me switch sides of the bed just so it's not between us as I mostly lay on my left side!) and I have a phone book under the mattress to help with heartburn/reflux.
Sounds like you don't have long to go though, hang in there! ;)

When I had 3 weeks to go, I had barely any sleep.. I hope you can manage to get some soon
-
No Sue, your not alone ....i think we are at the stage where sleep( well sleeping comfortably) has well and truly past but there is a light at the end of the tunnell - we will soon have our bubba's.
I haven't got a body pillow and to be honest i dont think i will worry about getting one at this late stage, i will just battle on with the pillows i have (if i had anymore poor DH wouldnt fit in the bed).
-
I just jumped onto BB with my cup of warm milk because I can't sleep and don't want to keep DH awake any longer with my tossing and turning whilst dragging pillows all around the bed. I was up six times to the toilet last night.
I'm having a day sleep with DD, it's even hard to get any sleep then.
It's nice to know I'm not alone, not long to go now. I'm not expecting to get any more sleep any time soon in fact probably less but at least I'll be getting up for a special reason.
-
crappy, thanks for asking.
nothing helps, it will be over soon though.

I havn't slept through the night for about 2 months now.. nice to know it doesnt get better(not) arg. I wake when baby kicks me, which is all night, I wake up at least twice to pee, and if I need to turn, I wake up then. And Im only at 27 weeks!! ARG!!:wall::wall: Im soooo tired!!

Sleep?? What is that??
Heartburn, peeing, hip pain, insomnia! Good to know I am not alone!
