Is the Mountain Buggy Swift best for me?
Hello,
I have looked through this forum to see if there is anyone with a requirement similar to mine but couldn't find anything so am posting yet another 'which pram?' request.
We are looking for a pram for a newborn but need it to be able to traverse rough ground. There are no footpaths where we live & it is very hilly plus outside our back gate is a bushland reserve that we walk in every day with the dog. We also want the pram to be compact enough to fold up & take shopping (I drive an Astra) as we don't want to have two prams.
When baby is first born we are planning to try a baby carrier for the dog walks but as he gets bigger & the weather warms up we think a pram will be better. Also, if I want to go to the shops during the day (without the car) I need to be able to navigate the pram up my steep & bumpy road.
We have looked at a number of prams and have narrowed down to the Valco Matrix and the Mountain Buggy Swift. The Mountain Buggy Swift is lighter & we are favouring it for its ease of folding & brakes but I am a bit concerned about ventilation as the back of the pram is very closed in.
The Matrix is nice but about 3kg's heavier & not as easy to fold (although not difficult).
Can anyone recommend the Mountain Buggy Swift (or not) or advise if there is another alternative that suits our requirements?
Thank you
