Children are such mirrors to our true selves, its scary!
(Wasnt sure where to post this....here will do for starters, mods, please move if you can think of a better spot :))
DD is 19 months old and every day becomes more of a mirror to me and the way i act/parent, its actually quite shocking some times!
The last two days she has started tutting. if we ask her to do shomething, not do something, if she is stuggling to do something etc, she tutts, clicks her tongue. she even tutts then huffs if she is really annoyed at something. She was putting her shoes on today and not doing very well...she tutted, huffed and under her breath muttered 'crap'
Thats me, its a mirror, i had NO idea i tutted so much, and i certainly didnt realise i had taught her to say 'crap' i asked DP and he said i do do it alot, its annoying for me to listen to her doing it so much, she sounds so frustrated and short tempered, i must sound like this all the time to her :(
Children really open us up and let us see our true selves, good and bad! i hope that DD continues to teach me about myself and helps me to become a better mother and person.
Interested to hear others peoples experiences of this!? anyone?....
