How to Announce to rest of the family ....

Ok I am a large family Mum and I am expecting again :)......#7

I am a bit concerned on how I am going to break the news to the rest of my family.

I fell pregnant just before Christmas is was a shock pregnancy and I lost it unfortunately...before I lost it being pregnant (the idea grew on me and DH) and I decided to have one more.

People do look down at you if you have a large family or think that you are from another planet...it is very sad but true.....

I know it shouldn't concern me but it does and my sister is coming from interstate in Sep so I know that maybe I should tell her before she comes and not be shocked......I know that as soon as she knows she will ring our older brother and tell him straight away......

I came across a Large Family poem a few years ago but I can't seem to find it again I was going to change a few words to make it relate more to our personal situation and post it to both of them......

being pregnant is suppose to be a time of excitement and happiness but this is stressing me a little....

I am from a larege family....I am one of 8 and I loved it and still love it. I will only be having 3 due to loads of reasons, but if I could slip in the 4th I would!!!

I am nearly 11 weeks and we are announcing to family tomorrow. Its dd1s bday dinner. DD1 will be wearing a tshirt with I am the big sister. DD2 will wear a tshirt with I am gunna be a big sister on it. Thats how we are doing it.

I like your idea of finding that poem. To be honest if you and your dh are up for more kids, then its really up to you and no one else. I would be chuffed! The more the merrier I say. I think the sooner you let them know the sooner you can enjoy being pregnant.

Firstly, congratulations on the pregnancy!

I understand your concern over telling the rest of the family. Most people dont understand why you should have more than 2-3 kids max. Large families are loud, lots of work and very expensive, so they think you must be crazy right? But it is so worth it! I am the eldest of 6 children, and I loved it. Sure I never had my own room or designer clothing, but I had 5 other best friends to play with every day! We are all still very close, and I couldnt imagine life if my parents had decided to have only 2 of us. It would be way too quiet for me.

Dont worry about what anyone else thinks, its your family, and your new baby is loved. That is truly all that matters. Good luck.
