I usually love the female names and want to make a list (both Male and Female) of any that you know.

DP and I were only talking about Arwen Evenstar the other night! I love the name Arwen for a baby girl.
Can't think of any more off the top of my head right now. I read a lot of Terry Pratchet books & I'm always combing them for potential names!

Dolmant
Sparhawk
I will check some more books tomorrow and let you know some more... i love Fantasy names, should have thought of some for my DD's.

We seriously thought about Arwen for DD2.
I love the David Eddings books too, Aphrael is beautiful.
I like Kerrigor & Lirael, Ryelle, Leliana.
All beautiful & unusual :)
-
I know an IRL Arwen. She's into medieval dancing stuff so I don't know if that's the name her parents gave her or if she just helped herself.
Also know twins called:
Isabeau from Ladyhawke
Elora from Willow
-
My old username on here use to be Laranna which I shortened from Aglaranna which is from Magician. I had Laranna on my girls names list but DH wouldn't let me :)
Two other names I like are from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series - Nynaeve and Egwene.
-
There are some great Chronicles of Narnia character names here.
Some of those I like are
Aravis
Digory
Rillian
Tirian
Jewel
Caspian
-
I used to pronounce my name Arwen when I was little. And Digory is a normal name, like Cecil or Roderick.
Two favourite fantasty names from me:
Jareth (Labyrinth's Goblin King)
Eskarina (Discworld: Equal Rites)
Many others have been mentioned. I'll come back with some more, although I tend to like "bad guy" names.
-
I always liked Nevare (Nuh-Vair), from Robin Hobb's Soldier Son Series.
Unusual for a male name.
There are many more I've liked but am having a mental blank. Will have to scope the book case.

Oh I loved Solen. :heartbeat:
-
from the Brisinger dragon rider series, the elves princess name was ARYA, which I quite like, also really liked Arwen for a girls name, but DP wants Ceridwen!
-
Oooo, Treebeard Glorfindal has a nice ring to it ;)
I don't think DH would ever agree to a name from a fantasy book. Maybe if he didn't know where it came from...
-
I love Aphrael too, I used to use it on a different forum as my id.
Adara
Garion
Flute (DH wanted this for a girl til he thought about possible nicknames)
-
Aragorn reminds me of the spider in Harry Potter. I also love love love Arwen I think its so feminine. Bilbo and Frodo I think are a little closer to too chartoon style but I like Boromir and love Faramir. Galadriel I like but sounds a bit of a mouthful. I also like Samwise.
I really like Theoden and Theo is a great name if its shortened.
My pick of your list is Arwen for a girl and its a tie for Theoden and Faramir for a boy.

.... :heartbeat: absolutely love Sabriel and Theoden :heartbeat: ....
