need help reading my OB CARD..

Does anyone know what the terms "PrG" mean.. on an OB card..

And also, under "STAT" (which i assume means status.. my midwife wrote "MOB" what does this stand for??

I know STAT is immediately..not sure what other two are...duh :-k half a degree of nursing..and thats all i remember!

OB CARD= obstetric record..

where they keep track on your weight gain, blood pressure, results from tests etc

I believe it has something to do with pregnancy :P

OK, I've fished mine out.
1. Are you sure it's an "r" on PrG. It could be P1G, meaning pregnancy - 1 (you are currently pregnant), gravida - 0 (no live births). So the P is for haow many times you have been pregnant and the G stands for how many live babies you have delivered

2. I can't find stat (I presume it means status too) on mine anywhere....are you under shared care? Could it mean midwife/obstetrician??

Hi,

I just had a look at my first bub's OB card and in the Previous Pregnancies section the midwife had written "PRIMIGRAVIDA". She told me that it meant that it was my first pregnancy. On this baby's card they have written G2P1, which I'm not too sure what it means, I guess it means 2nd pregnancy and that I have given birth to 1 baby? Not sure what MOB stands for???

On Matilda's ID card for the hospital it says MOB: & then my name... I presume its Mother of Baby

I think you might be onto something with that - on my referral for my 19 week u/s my OB has written G4P1. I have been pregnant 4 times and have one child. The G would stand for "Gestation" I bet.
