does anyone have any budget rice recipes that they make??
I like to do fried rice with the following in it ..... mushrooms,capsicum,carrot,corn,peas, ,egg, bacon,onion, oyster sauce,bbq sauce & 1 chicken stock cube.
rice salad
rice pudding
sushi rolls easy as kids make these and yummo.
Rissotto
Biryani
Fried rice
Can't go past sausage and baked bean curry on rice!
Or simple rice salad : add to cooked rice - fried off onion and bacon and add in tinned peas and corn. Yummo! Just make sure there's a little xtra oil to seperate the rice grains.
I do a tuna rice bake.
2 cups of uncooked rice
Stick of celery finely diced
1 onion finely chopped
Tin of cream of mushroom soup
Can of tuna drained
Cook rice first then chuck in an oven proof dish with the other ingredients, mix it up and put in oven for about 20 min at 180 degrees.
Sometimes I also add corn or sliced gherkins for something different.
