ETA: Here it is - best bikkies ever, super easy, makes a fair few, uses plain flour, and you can add anything to it you like :) Freezer biscuit/cookie dough recipes
Foundation Biscuits:
115 grams butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 and a 1/2 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 egg slightly beaten
pinch of salt
Preheat oven 190 C. Grease oven trays. Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar. Gradually beat egg into mixture until creamy. Work in flour to form a stiff dough. Divide into 3, form each piece into a roll 3cm in diameter. Cut with wet knife into even slices. Roll each slice into a ball, place on tray and press with a wet fork. Bake 10-15 mins until a pale golden brown.
Can add 1 tablespoon of cocoa instead of cornflour for chocolate biscuits.
Can add grated rind of a 1 lemon for lemon biscuits.
Can add 1 tablespoon of cinnamon for cinnamon biscuits.
Should make 3-4 dozen :)
theres a really yummy recipe with rolled oats and plain flour i got but its at home! will post it to you when i get home!!!
