Frontal Lobe Defect
Monstas diagnosis...
BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS WITH FRONTAL LOBE INJURY
One of the specific behavior deficits following frontal lobe damage is attention disorder, patients showing distractibility and poor attention. They present with poor memory, sometimes referred to as "forgetting to remember." The thinking of patients with frontal lobe injury tends to be concrete, and they may show perseveration and stereotypy of their responses. The perseveration, with inability to switch from one line of thinking to another, leads to difficulties with arithmetic calculations, such as serial sevens or carryover subtraction.
Next step- Clinical pscycologists.
They wont medicate until all else fails
She may be on the Spectrum but not enough for a full diagnosis.
Feels great to have answers.

I'm glad you've got a diagnosis and a plan of where to go to from here. At least you know the issues you're dealing with now and that will allow you to advocate the best for your daughter.
FWIW, I have worked with many (adults) people with frontal lobe dysfunction and they were all able to work and lead fufilled and productive lives.
Hugs if you need them!

I am so glad that you have some answers and a plan in place in order to move forward.
I have a special someone in my life with ADHD (which I believe may be slightly different to what your DD has although alot of what you have listed does sound very familiar) and although they live an altered life to mine, they live a very fulfilled and non medicated life.
It sounds like you have a great team working on your behalf that is willing to cover all bases before turning to medication which is very refreshing.
Wishing you the best of luck with your next step .

 I'm glad you have some answers. Sounds like you saw a good paediatrician too, Brendan's believes in other methods before medication too, which is comforting for me :)
