How do i stop this?

When DS is finished eating he throws the food on the floor and he thinks its funny how do i stop him from doing it?

i dont think you can!!

DD does it, to me its an indication shes done and i remove the food, i ask her if shes done and she can (and has been able for quiet a while) say 'done' , meal time over!

when my DD throws her food on the ground, its a sign for me she's had enough, cause this is a little girl who doesn't muck around with her food :rofl: - once she's thrown some on the floor, i say, all finished and she nods and smiles :lol:

DD does the same J. She's usually full. I now put a tub on the right of high chair so it's straight into that for the chooks :lol: saves a mad clean up. They also have vinyl mats at woolies called muck mats. They are pretty good if your DS throws in random directions.

J i use an old tablecoth under DD chair as we have carpet under the table, makes it easy to roll up and shake outside!

They outgrow it.

They do grow out of it. My DD is now almost 18 months and says "no" when i ask her if she wants anymore. It has saved alot of food being thrown on the floor. Every kid is different obviously.. this is just one of the joyous phases lol

DS does it too - that's the end of the meal - however on occasion he will have a couple of mouthfuls of a favourite dessert (stewed apples with sultanas) - so sometimes I take it as a sign that savoury is over and he is ready for something sweet!

At spotlight you can get thick-ish clear plastic on a roll, so you buy it cut to the length you want.
We put this under the highchair and its so much easier to clean

This is where letting my little dogs into the room after meal times came in very handy! ;)
