newborn in a piccolo question - Mel maybe?

How do you wear a newborn in a piccolo? I only ever used it with DD from about 4months.
I tried Ds's leg in what I think is what they call 'froglegs" but with his huge terry-cloth bum, I wasn't happy with him in it like this - he seemed to have his legs in front of him, the flap that folds up (iykwim) didn't seem to sit right and I couldn't seem to get it tight enough.
So i then wiggled DS's legs out the side with the middle cinched in, but again, wasn't entirely happy with it. DS's chin seemed to be too scrunched into his chest, plus there was no head support.

Any tips? TIA

I tried to use one with Laa however I found the same problems as you. Infact, I wasnt able to use a SSC/MT until she was 6+ months (she simply HATED being in the froggy position).

Good luck hun - but for me the answer was to try different carriers.
