Newbie with PCOS, gonal f and short LP

Hi,

Here's a bit about me. I've read many of your stories and have now finally built up the courage to post one myself.

I've been battling this roller coast in PCOS for a number of years now as I never got periods after coming off the pill. I tried the low GI diet thing, did weekly acupuncture and daily chinese herbs and had my periods return randomly :)

I actually fell pregnant naturally on my honeymoon last June/July but unfortunately miscarried.:cry. Since then I have tried several rounds of clomid with a hcg trigger and one round that included pregnyl during the luteal phase. I felt I was experiencing dry CM whilst on the clomid and the MIVF nurse suggested I should be on FSH injections. So I have changed FS and am now on Gonal F with a trigger.

My lastest obsticle is that I have had a short luteal phase within 3 of my cycles. I start spotting 9dpo!!!! A bt indicated that I had low progesterone and I think my FS wants to try progesterone pessaries (I think that's what they're called).

I just wanted to hear about stories where the progesterone pessaries combined with OI using Gonal F have worked. My FS is fairly confident as I am young (28yo) but I guess it's nice to hear from those who are going through similar experiences.

I can't give you too much advice on the gonal I'm afraid because I'm only about to start them myself! I have been on clomid for 12 months and it works for me, but I keep m/c. I've have 3 early one's so far. A friend of mine has used to progesterone pess. and has had good luck with those. There are aparently some natural things you can take to improve dry CM. Try perusing the TTC assisted conception forums, they have helped me a lot.
