Finger Foods for 6.5month old? Ideas needed
Up until recently DD was quite happy to eat puree's which i fed to her, she loved them HOWEVER in the last week DD refuses to eat them unless she is holding the spoon.
Most times she gets half of the food in her mouth and the other half in her hair, behind her ears etc etc its all very cute but very messy too!
I am looking for foods which i can give her that are safe for her to hold and feed to herself (worried about choking) . I have tried her on pasta shells (can she choke on this?) , cheese, banana, bread but am out of ideas of what i can give her which will be safe.
She also eats arrowroot biscuits with no dramas and has never choked.
Tonight once again the puree was refused but she was happy to eat my garlic bread ( i broke little pieces for her) and fried chips (squeezed out the potato for her and put it straight into her mouth with my fingers) i know this is unhealthy for her but i was interested to see what her reaction would be.
So, if anyone has the time to just quickly let me know what foods they would give to a 6.5month old i would be so happy!
Thanks

Hi Dido,
You've already been given some great suggestions that cover off most of the things we offer. My latest discovery is mixing natural yoghurt with a tiny bit of fruit juice or some fruit purée and then making ice lollies (I know this is the uk term and don't know what the Aussie one is) from it. I managed to get a set for making half portion ones which are perfect without too much waste, and they go down a treat, especially when teeth are causing issues :)
