Movie world, sea world, wet'n'wild & gold coast

Well my extended family has decided that it is time that we all went on a huge family holiday so we can spend some time together as we all live hours away from each other and we don't get to see each other much. I thought fantastic idea, getting to spend time with brothers, brothers in law, sisters and sister in law and all the kids playing together - YAY!! So the decision was made to go to the gold coast and go to all the worlds - on the surface great idea but there was no thought put into the kids. The 5 kids are aged from 4 years to 2 years.
I am thinking that taking kids this age to the worlds is a waste of time and money as they won't get anything out of it - do others think the same way or am I missing how much is actually available at the worlds for young kids?
DH and I are up in the air as to whether to go or not so I was wondering if anyone has been lately and what kind of entertainment is available there and whether you think it's appropriate for kids this age (our kids will be 4 and 2).
Also what else is there to do on the gold coast for young kids?

I think you're missing what is available to the younger kids (sorry). There is literally something for every age group at the theme parks.

I didn't really like Wet n wild much but seaworld and Movie World were great.

The first time we took our kids there they were 5&4, the youngest was 4 mths both the older 2 LOVED Movie World. We spent the majority of our time in the kids area and in Main Street where thy met the characters and had photos taken etc while the dads went on all the rides. Sea world was also great for them at that age. There are little pools where they can touch sting rays and coral etc and then there's all the animals to see and shows to watch which they enjoyed. Sea World have Sesame St characters and a kids area with rides for all age groups as well which the kids loved.

Dreamworld was probably the best though. There's Wiggles World wher they can meet the characters and go on rides, the tigers, a wildlife part etc. Dreamworld is my favourite because there is something for every age group from baby to adult and heaps to do as a family. We usually do 2 days at Dreamworld because we cant get through it all in one day. I've heard that White Water World is better than Wet n Wild. We didn't go there though because we hated Wet n Wild.

Please don't be sorry Tinks I have no idea about the worlds - haven't been there since I was a teenager. In the kids area is there a height/weight limit to the rides? I've never heard of white water world so I'm off to check that out too and I can't believe I didn't think of dreamworld - d'oh.

We took ds to Seaworld (sesame street beach) when he was 2 and he just LOVED it!! Definitely things to do for all age kiddies!!!

There are height limits for the bigger rides at all parks. In Movie World's kids area there are only 2 rides with height limits, the roller coaster and the one next to it which I can't remember the name of. All the other rides are for all ages, your 2yo would be able to go on them no worrie, you can go on too. The 2 with height limits your 4yo would be able to go on.

I don't remember any height regs for the kids rides in Dreamworld apart from the Rugrats Rollercoaster which my 5yo loved but 4yo was too short to go on. Same with Seaworlds kids rides.

Not sure about weight limits, I don't think there are any. If you look at the various parks websites you can read all the rules and regulations for each ride.

There's heaps to do at all of them, or you can stay in accomodation with a kids club so they can stay and play in safety so you can enjoy the parks. The websites have the height restrictions of the bigger rides and tell you what activites are available.

If you look at the 'myfun' website you can often get discount vouchers too :D
