Naming Ceremony Ideas

As my Dh and I have decided not to christen our two boys we were wondering about having a naming ceremony.
I really want all my close friends and family to be there for it so I can share how proud and amazed I am by our two beautiful boys.

I was just wondering if anyone has had one for their child/children and what they did for it.
I really want to involve my family and close friends in the ceremony to show them how important they are in the boys lives.
Does anyone have any ideas on what should be included in the ceremony?
We would love it to be a very meaningful but fun day so that the boys can enjoy it without being too overwhelmed.

I can PM you the ceremony I wrote for DD if you like.
We just had one at home with our closest family and friends and did a balloon release.

**Sunshine** would you mind PMing me the ceremony that you wrote for DD. We are hoping to have a naming ceremony for her with her 1st birthday but I am beyond confused about what I want and dont know even where to start, I thought if I could have a look at yours I might know whats happening!

I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing you're after but I'll explain anyway ;)

For DD's Christening her godparents (Rouge, her DH & another friend) organised a cherry blossom tree as a present. Rouge made little cards for everyone to write a message to DD on & we attached them all to her tree on the day. It looked so pretty :) At the end of the day I collected them all off & have them stored in her memory box. It was beautiful & something I've never seen done before.

{sarah} that sounds so beautiful. Obviously the Godparents that you chose are extremely thoughtful and caring people, you and your DD are very fortunate to have such lovely people around and I am sure the reverse applies too!

This is just a few ideas you could incorporate into the day to make it special

Make a book with photos of the people that will be attending with your 2 Boys and have a place to write a little message to your boys etc

you could do a balloon release and some of the guests attending could say alittle wish for your boys before releasing there balloon
