I want to get one for DD2 for her birthday, and was wondering if you would buy one off ebay? I would prefer an australian seller simply because it is easier to deal with if 1 it goes missing in the post and 2 if there is a problem with it and it needs to be returned.
Also, if they are selling it as 'new' and therefore under warranty, how would I go about making a warranty claim from an ebay seller?
Or should I just buy one from the shops LOL
I have vowed never to buy anything electrical from Ebay again... I have had a few things cark it on me now, including the breast pump I bought NEW :wall:
The only way would be if you are clear beforehand on what the procedure is if you need to make a warranty claim. If you can sort that out & be confident that you're covered...then maybe.
Otherwise, call around... I think if you Google Catalogue central you can do a price comparison to find the cheapest seller. Or call somewhere like JB hi-fi & see if they will price match, they usually will....
Yeah, that's what I thought Fleur, but sometimes around here it is hard to get specific ones other than black and white, so ebay was tempting LOL.

If the eBay one is new and comes with a warranty, it would be fine. When claiming warranty you contact Nintendo directly, not the place you bought it from. Just make sure the seller has a good rating and good reviews.
I've bought DS's and PSP's off ebay from Australian sellers with no problems Trillian.
The best thing to do is to check their feedback before buying from them and message them with your questions about warranty and whatever concerns you might have.
