Are you after disposable or cloth?
You can get the washable ones from places like Kmart, big w and Target etc, they are around $5. Or there are huggies ones which you will find in the sposie nappie section, they are disposable. Other than that, google them, you can buy them online, even ebay :) HTH
I use the Little Swimmers sposie brand. I just rinse them after DS swim lesson and hang on the line to dry, a whole packet didn't even get used the past summer, and we swam a lot!
Mel, Either one - I've not used cloth yet, been waiting for DS to hit 6 months before I attempt them (and now he has I'm too scared to try in case I don't do it right!)
Thanks Hollye and Sequoia :)
We use a monkey doodlez swim nappy.
I used washable one from Target. But there are some great websites you can buy them online just google swim nappies. It's much cheaper to do it that way. Good luck!
Thanks Heaven, thanks *Molly*
Thanks Ellee - Unfortunately we're going to be extrememly short on our mortgage next month, so buying them will have to wait.. I guess, swimming lessons will have to wait too (Was just told that we're going to be short via SMS )
I bought a cloth one online - was $12 or something like that. It's basically a PUL cover that velcros up with some meshing inside. It's a medium and we've been using it since DS was 6 months old. pretty good value.
Thanks marcellus.
We don't even have a spare 5 cents right now - We're going to be $400 short of our mortgage this month, so we can't afford to buy anything at all yet. Will have to wait till I get my work pay in 3 weeks time
I must say that i too love my imse vimse swim nappy. I just love how easy it is to take off with the side snaps, especially since ds wont stay still long enough anymore for me to change him. THey are about $20 but ours still looks as good as new one year on and we do alot of swimming.
I think our first ones were ity bity, but what ever brand you go for don't be afraid of cloth in this department. I use sposies for everyday because I am not disciplined at house work enough to go for cloth, we would never have clean ones.
disposable swim nappies do just as much as the cloth ones, they don't absorb water at all, they are just there to catch the lumps, so as long as they lumps can't get out before you get out of the pool it's a good swim nappy. And they can wear them for years, ds is almost 3 and still in a medium. He started in a small at 6 months, and we switched up about 12 months later.
Another vote for the Imse Vimse swim nappy. The side snap is great, especially with a baby who hates getting changed after swimming.
We have a Monkey Doodlez one , which works great too but I seem to reach for the I.V one first.
